High-Level Summary We are seeking experienced Part 107-certified Drone Pilots to support powerline inspection projects across transmission and distribution environments. This is a contract position requiring extensive experience flying drones in utility environments, with a minimum of 1,500 flight hours. The role involves traveling to project sites, operating drones for powerline inspections, managing data collection in the field, and ensuring all safety and regulatory standards are met. Contractors must be highly skilled, proactive, and ready to begin work immediately.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct powerline inspections (both transmission and distribution) using drones such as DJI, Autel, Skydio, or Parrot.
Execute flights safely and efficiently, adhering to FAA Part 107 regulations and utility safety standards.
Maintain accurate flight logs and inspection data, including QC checks and validation of captured data.
Identify and resolve issues such as missed poles or incomplete datasets before leaving the field.
