Gedeon GRC Consulting is looking for a Senior Drone Pilot to join our firm! The Senior Drone Pilot is responsible for supporting our engineering projects by operating drones to capture aerial data, conduct inspections, and assist in the analysis of project sites. Expertise in drone technology and flight operations will be essential in providing accurate and detailed information to our engineering teams and external clients, enabling them to make informed decisions that have an impact on our built environment.
SALARY RANGE:
$55,000 - $85,000 annually, Pay commensurate with experience
LOCATION:
This is a Hybrid role with remote office work and on-site project work across up to 75% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITES:
❖ Operate advanced aerial platforms, such as from manufacturers like Flyability, Voliro, Skydio, and Freefly Systems, for confined space inspections, structural assessments, and field data collection, to capture visual photos and videos, LiDAR, thermal, NDE, and other data at various project sites.
❖ Conduct pre-flight planning, including permit application requests, site assessments, flight path design, and risk evaluation.
❖ Coordinate control point planning and data processing requirements with the CAD department to ensure seamless transition from site collection to final deliverables, such as photogrammetry, BIM, and other engineering grade models.
❖ Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of drone equipment to ensure optimal performance.
❖ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
❖ Maintain detailed flight logs, reports, and documentation of drone operations
❖ Stay updated on advancements in drone technology and industry best practices.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
❖ 5+ years related work experience is preferred.
❖ Proven experience as a Drone Pilot, preferably in an engineering, construction, or OGI environment.
❖ Proficiency in operating various drone models and related software (e.g., Pix4D, Drone Deploy)
❖ Experience with Flyability drones and proficiency in confined space UAV operations is a plus.
❖ Strong understanding of aerial data collection, photogrammetry, LiDAR, and other mapping techniques.
❖ Multi-disciplinary experience or technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software engineering concepts.
❖ Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license is preferred.
❖ FAA Part 107 License is required
❖ The ability to travel to project sites is needed.
