Job Purpose:
- Design flight paths, conduct pre-flight safety checks, and operate drones to capture high-resolution imagery or multispectral data. Establish ground control points and benchmarks using GNSS receivers or total stations to ensure survey-grade accuracy. Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Pilot-in-Command to capture high-accuracy aerial data using Unmanned Aerial Systems.
- Combine field surveying with data processing to produce high-quality deliverables.
- Plan missions and set ground control points to ensure precise data collection.
- Ensure FAA compliance and adhere to all regulations regarding drone operations.
- Produce 3D models, topographic maps, or inspections from collected data.
- Navigate and work in outdoor environments, including construction or remote sites.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate aircraft, sensors, and peripherals.
- Process raw images into actionable deliverables using 3D point clouds and CAD models.
- Utilize flight planning software and photogrammetry software effectively.
- Understand and apply GNSS, surveying principles, and geospatial data in operations.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, geography, or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience with surveying, GIS, or unmanned aerial mapping.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments, navigating construction or remote sites.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Mandatory FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
- Proficiency in flight planning software and photogrammetry software.
- Understanding of GNSS, surveying principles, and geospatial data.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate aircraft, sensors, and peripherals.
- Capability to process raw images into actionable deliverables with 3D point clouds and CAD models using software.
